Join Chicago's ethnic and independent media to center immigrant voices in voting rights

The Media Consortium and In These Times invite you to join Chicago's ethnic and independent media for a conversation that centers immigrant voices on voting rights. With this community media roundtable we bring together journalists, immigrant advocates, voting access and racial justice leaders to collaborate on narratives that learn from immigrant experiences to inform voters.

While the dominant media narrative has amplified the voices that inflame nativism and racism during this charged election season, independent media is harnessing the transformative power of journalism to tell stories by the people most directly impacted by the political debate on immigration. By centering the voices of new Americans, we aim to shift the conversation towards communities seeking to fully participate in U.S. political life.

Sponsored by Change Illinois, a coalition leading systemic political and government reform.

MEDIA PARTNERS: In These Times, Chicago Reporter, Truthout
